At the bar you’ll be tempted by a fine range of real cask conditioned ales, including popular local brews and a number of regularly changing guest beers. We also pride ourselves on an excellent choice of wines with varieties of all the popular grapes on offer and a flavour and price to suit every taste, occasion and pocket.
This traditional coach inn is full of character and charm; with ten guest bedrooms, log burning fires, a traditional drinking bar, and a cosy restaurant with a menu full of flavour, quality and freshness - all cooked by Head Chef Mark Sandell.

The Bar at Frocester is a classic bar well-known for its friendly atmosphere and all around good times. The wood décor, alongside the wood burners and cosy seating offers a warm and welcoming ambiance to all guests.
On the bar we have 5 cask ales on at all times, serving only the best quality real ales, our guest ale program is something that encompasses ales from far and wide, not forgetting local brewery’s such as Stroud, Uley, Wickwar, Gloucester. We all know that standard of your draught cider and lager are a known barometer of an outlet's quality, so with this in mind we have installed the new ‘smart dispense system’ which means each time you order cider and lager you will receive a perfect fresh pint, at the perfect temperature - so on a hot summers day your refreshing pint with be served between 2 - 4ºC every time.
We have a wine list that caters for most tastes; the wines were specially chosen for us and we believe they offer good value and high quality. Prosecco is available in miniature bottles of 200ml and there is a selection of cocktails available.
Our bar menu caters for lunch times and alfresco dining in the courtyard, this features traditional pub style food and open sandwiches. Everything that is on our menu is produced on the premises. We source our sausages from Frocester Fayre Farm shop just down the road and they also supply our pork.
We are a dog friendly bar and all well behaved dogs are welcome.
Head chef Mark Sandell’s gastro menu has something to suit everybody’s tastes. We are proud that everything we serve is made in our kitchen and cooked to order and where possible using the finest that Gloucestershire has to offer, including Frocester Fayre only ½ a mile away. Mark makes his own mayonnaise and tartare sauce, the biscuits on our cheeseboard and all of our deserts.
Breakfast is served in the dining room and is freshly cooked to order. We have a selection of cereals available as well as fresh fruit and our Frocester Full English. We also will make an omelette to order with your choice of fillings. Freshly ground cafetiere coffee or a selection of speciality teas are served at breakfast. If you would like to make your breakfast even more special why not order a glass of chilled Prosecco or a Mimosa Cocktail made from Prosecco and fresh orange juice.
We have sourced sausages from the Frocester Fayre Farm shop literally two minutes down the road. Bridge Farm Frocester also supply our Belly Pork. Our beef comes from our butcher Peter Jeffries; a little further afield in Charlton Kings, but the best, most consistent and flavoursome beef we have found. Our main fish supplier is M&J seafood who are part of the British Skippers Scheme and send us details of their daily catch so that we can order what is freshly available. We want you to enjoy dining with us so sit back and relax.

Our Standard Single is our economy option and offers great value for money. A comfortable single bed with luxurious egyptian cotton bedding in a compact room with tea and coffee making facilities, a flat screen TV and a private bathroom.
Our dedicated Function Room is the perfect place to have a Party. We can cater for Weddings, Birthdays, Anniversaries etc etc. We can also cater for more modest groups such as clubs, associations for general meetings or simply getting together. The room is located at the end of the garden and has a dedicated bar to keep the drinks flowing! Leave the M5 at junction 13, then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A419.

From the South

We are lucky to have two train stations in close proximity to The Frocester; Stonehouse and Cam Dursley. Neither station is within walking distance, we suggest either using the local bus services which stop across the road from The Frocester or booking a private taxi for the short journey.
